Each time you come in for your regular check-up, during our exam, we check your lymph nodes, glands and look for any unusual spots in your mouth. If we observe an area that appears suspicious, we will recommend a biopsy to test and make sure the area is benign.

The procedure is routine. We take a small brush to the area to collect a sample and then we send it to a lab for testing. Once we hear back from the lab, usually within just a couple days, we will contact you with the results.
