PERIODONTAL

Below the surface of our teeth and gums is their support structure: bone.  If bone loss occurs around or in-between teeth, it can jeopardize their long term stability and health. Regular six month cleanings are important, as well as adequate home care to help prevent this from occurring.

If the loss of tooth support structure has occurred, or deposits of hardened plaque have reached below the gum levels, then a more detailed, site specific cleaning is warranted.  The areas are anesthetized, and manually debrided, and cleaned.  A maintenance program is established to follow up at regular intervals to make sure the areas are stable.
